Under the Direction of the IT Director, administers and analyzes the CCF network environment, ensuring compliance with all standard security and operating procedures of CCHS. Provides regular monitoring and reporting of all systems under ITD management and control.
Assists assigned division management in making IT investments and decisions.
Supervises the functions of client consulting and production support for workstations and servers.
Ensures all support staff have set and communicated appropriate workstation standards and procedures. Installs and maintains all Network Servers.
Provides input to Network Support Services financial budget.
Monitors work on projects related to distribute computing.
Develops, monitors and reports on Network Support Services annual goals and objectives.
Maintains and performs data backups.
Ensures CCHS standards are followed on all network deployments.
Maintains and provides network security.
Serves as upper level after hours support to 1st level on-call technicians.
Bachelors' Degree or equivalent working experience.
Solid understanding of distributed computing (Local Area Networks and PC Systems).
Knowledge of Cisco switches and routers.
A firm understanding of TCPIP and VLAN's. MCSE Certification on Windows 2003 or above. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification desired.
Scripting languages such as VBScript or powershell a plus.
Knowledge and experience with VMware ESX 1 and vSphere4 a plus. Knowledge and experience with Citrix XenApp a plus.
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).

At least three years experience working in a Microsoft Active Directory Environment and with Cisco hardware. Cisco CCNA or above certification a plus.
Strong skills with Microsoft Windows Server products and knowledge of group policy, DNS, and DHCP.
Participation in scheduled and unscheduled system maintenance. On-call and off-hours system support.
Perform installation, maintenance and support of system software, hardware, and infrastructure for all assigned projects.
Outstanding organizational and supervision skills.
Excellent decision-making and interpersonal relationship skills required.
Must be able to effectively communicate in both written and oral media.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and be a team player.
Essential Duties: Installation and maintenance of all network related hardware.
Handles the administration of Novell network including all application distribution.
Provide network documentation to support technicians.
Ensure reliable data backup of all Clinic and Hospital user data. Act as second level support for Network Technicians.
Physical Duties: This position requires physical work of lifting a maximum of 30 lbs., walking, and standing.
Working Conditions: The occupant of this position spends 90% of his/her time in air-conditioned areas; the remainder is outside.
