Plans and provides life enrichment services for independent living residents with a primary focus on Homestead and Cottage activities. Activities are geared to stimulate residents and promote or maintain independence and increase self-esteem. Activities include physical, intellectual, creative, social, spiritual, and service/volunteering opportunities. This position will work one weekend a month as well as the 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day).
Minimum of High School Diploma. Strong preference for candidates who have completed a 36-Hour Activity Course. Time management, excellent communication skills, public speaking skills, and teaching skills. Experience with Geriatric population preferred.
One-year experience in activity programming geared toward the geriatric population for independent residents.
