Position Description: Grant Reviewer

Description: CRG is seeking up to 30 Grant Reviewers for a short-term appointment to support a contract with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Native American Programs (ONAP), Indian Housing Block Grant Program (IHGB). The Grant Reviewer will be responsible for reviewing, scoring, providing written justifications of scores, and paneling tribal grants and/or housing grants.
This is a temporary position (approximately 2 months). Grant Reviewers will be paid a stipend to cover application review, participation in trainings and check-ins, and paneling sessions.
Location: *Nationwide/Telework/Fully Remote
Required Qualifications:

  • Must have availability/flexibility to commit to full-time review of Grants, conduct reviews over a consecutive time period (tentatively, from mid-August through Mid-October), participate in check-in meetings, and ability to travel to paneling sites (tentatively, during the weeks of September 9th and/or September 23rd).
  • Must have grant writing and/or grant review experience. Knowledge of formula and discretionary grants is preferred.
  • Must have tribal grants and/or housing policy knowledge, education, and/or experience.
  • Applicants also must have access to laptops with current Microsoft Office 365 suite (e.g., SharePoint, Word, Excel, Skype). Must have ability to use computers proficiently and experience with Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Experience using web-based grant review management systems is preferred.
  • Must have strong analytic, writing, and reading comprehension skills as well as the ability to interpret federal regulations or other guidelines and contribute to major reports.
