Your Role

As the Urban Planning Lead, you will lead and grow our office practice, driving in tandem with the region and firm. This leader will reside in our Seattle office. Project work will require a focus on: new urban development, transit-oriented development, revitalization and neighborhood redevelopment, comprehensive and small area plans and site-scale master planning. Facilitation, public presentation and community engagement work will also be required.

What You Will Do

Grow new client relationships and lead the proposal process for new projects;
Develop, manage and maintain client relationships;
Lead conceptual design efforts
Lead relevant research efforts in determining plan objectives
Provide strong design direction on projects;
Lead a team of skilled design professionals aligning abilities and career objectives;
Incorporate current planning trends regarding transportation, sustainability and community engagement into work.
Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in architecture and/or urban planning and design; Masters a plus
Licensure
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in new urban development, transit-oriented development, revitalization and neighborhood redevelopment, comprehensive and small area plans and site-scale master planning.
Significant domestic experience with public and private sectors in the Seattle area
Proven track record building business with an exceptional reputation in the community
Have a passion for design
Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Sketchup
Revit a plus
