The Site Community Manager works within the Web and Communications Portfolio as part of the Feed the Future Knowledge-Driven Agricultural Development (KDAD) project to raise the profile and advance the learning and knowledge sharing objectives across various USAID programs, initiatives, and online platforms. The position requires a highly organized, personable, and strong communicator, extremely well-versed in web sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
Design and post e-newsletters across the portfolio. This work would be in collaboration with each activity leader and the task may be shared.
Assist in social media outreach across the portfolio, as needed.
Become familiar with the Eloqua system to be able to manage outreach efforts, invitations and other web-based tasks.
Pull analytics data for websites that will contribute to monthly reports for each buy-in.
Develop promotional strategies to assist in marketing KDAD-produced videos for various clients.
Prepare reports for the client on trends, website statistics, and usability utilizing Google Analytics and other web monitoring tools.
Moderate comments and discussions for abuse.
Monitor site traffic performance.
Train key clients and users in how to use the site.
Navigate the websites to view and maintain content for accuracy.
At least 3 years of communications experience, including work in an editorial capacity and experience with web-based and other digital environments.
Deep understanding of current and future digital trends across all platforms.
Aptitude for understanding technical subject matters; ability to quickly grasp core ideas of varied and complex topics required.
Client-oriented and ability to manage fluid processes with shifting priorities.
Ability to handle competing and/or tight deadlines; great organizational skills and attention to detail required.
Excellent communication skills essential; copyediting skills, highly desired.
Knowledge of the intended audiences desired; prior USAID experience preferred.
