Taos is immediately hiring an Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Administrator for a cutting-edge tech company in Cupertino, CA!

You are a versatile technologist with in-depth experience with virtual desktops. You are eager to join a team of exceptional administrators, engineers, and managers in a leading global enterprise. You use your excellent written and verbal communication skills to help your team achieve its goals. You are a self-motivated individual with a passion for technology. You possess the ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality when required.

What you’ll be doing:
Overseeing management, configuration, automation and scalability, disaster recovery, storage, backups, and security of virtual desktops
Monitoring mission-critical information systems ensuring service quality for the organization
Assisting with the day-to-day tasks of engineers in the group as required
Deploying and maintaining the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Environment
Updating and deploying VDI desktop images. Diagnose and troubleshoot end user resource and connection issues, hardware and software problems
Writing and maintaining scripts to improve system management tasks

What you’ll bring with you:
Experience with virtualized applications and desktop operating systems
Knowledge of Linux desktop administration, scripting
Experience in application packaging and OS imaging in a virtualized environment
Familiarity with open source automation tools like Ansible
Understanding of desktops OS, security principles, and Group Policy Processing
Experience working in large enterprise environments and networks
