The purpose of the role:
The Facilities Lead is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of all building services as well as various systems within the facilities. Acts as a team lead for Facilities and Waste-stream workforce.

Job Duties May Include:
- Follows all site safety protocols and maintains workstation according to housekeeping expectations
- Customer service
- Operate personal lifts and material handling tools
- Rigging, lifting and relocating a variety of complex, heavy machines, equipment and components
- Piping and Plumbing, pumps and motors, New Capital Equipment Installation
- Performs Preventative Maintenance as assigned
- Reading and understanding mechanical and electrical prints diagrams and technical repair manuals
- Perform basic building repairs to include Plumbing repair / toilets, sinks, etc.
- Carpentry work / installation of cabinets, pictures, etc.
- Sheetrock and small concrete repairs
- Light electrical repair/wiring of outlets, switches, etc.
- Painting
- Responsible for filter changes on all HVAC equipment
- The assembly, disassembly and moving of office furniture
- Snow removal – sidewalks and specific areas
- Upkeep of grounds along with necessary repairs
- Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required
- Enter work orders and PM’s into CMMS
- Performing assigned duties with little or no supervision
- Ability to work off-shift, weekends, holidays if needed
- Other duties as-assigned
If that sounds like you....here's what we need in terms of education and experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a mechanical / plumbing / electrical role (required)
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in facilities maintenance. HVAC experience preferred.
- General understanding of mechanics and maintenance knowledge.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and priorities to meet deadlines
- Basic reading and math skills. Must be able to follow directions.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel & Word
- Exercises independent initiative/judgement in work methods.
- Ability to lead by example, gain respect from a team and communicate with clarity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working conditions
This job operates in a manufacturing environment, and the employee is regularly exposed to loud noises and machinery. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, hardhats, etc.
Physical requirements
Standing, Walking, Sitting, Reading, Stooping, climbing Ladders, crawling in / through low spaces; able to lift 25-50 lbs.
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time and perform repetitive motion type tasks regularly. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift greater than 50 pounds. Ability to endure heat in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration, repetitive motion, bending, lifting, twisting, crouching, reaching, pushing and/or pulling. While performing this position, the employee frequently works near powered forklifts, power tools, and automated assembly machinery.
