DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Loss Prevention Investigative Analyst is responsible for protecting all assets of the company through prevention, awareness, communication and deterrence. Overall responsibilities include designing and creating customized reports using business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, and ERP systems (Mincron and NxTrend preferred) to capture exception-based activities which can be used to initiate Loss Prevention investigations. The role requires the ability to analyze data to identify issues, trends and opportunities, while working directly with the Loss Prevention Director and Senior Business Management Teams to investigate losses and make recommendations to support the company’s needs.

Create customized reports in MicroStrategy or similar software to collect, analyze and identify potentially fraudulent activity within the business.
Independently conduct investigations related to misappropriation of assets, policy violations etc.
Investigative duties include gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, documenting investigations in reports for Senior Management, working with law enforcement to prosecute subjects of investigations, and identifying control and procedural improvement opportunities.
Conduct branch audits to identify control deficiencies and physical security weaknesses.
Partner with regional and store management to develop loss prevention controls and shrinkage reduction strategies.
Create loss prevention awareness by overseeing and delivering Loss Prevention Training and Orientations.
Work with and train management teams to ensure operational compliance.
Work with store personnel to identify misappropriation of assets (i.e. inventory shortage) opportunities and recommend solutions.
Identify and work with management to resolve shrink control deficiencies.
Identify and recommend solutions for preventing losses from overriding controls.
Create and maintain awareness by promoting available resources (Code of Business Conduct Hotline, etc.).
Work with management to ensure a safe work environment.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should have the following:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an analytical role working with and creating custom reports (MicroStrategy preferred) in a retail or wholesale environment
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required (experience considered in lieu of degree)
Strong investigation and interviewing skills
Experience pulling data from ERP systems (Mincron and/or Nxtrend a plus) to develop custom reports
Good communication skills including report writing
Knowledge of progressive Loss Prevention methods and shrink strategies
Knowledge of Physical Security standards
Experience in Law Enforcement, Military or Retail Loss Prevention a plus
Willingness to travel (approximately 40%) throughout the United States with limited travel to Canada and Mexico
