This position will be responsible for the following:
- Collaboratively work with SMs and SPMs proactively creating purchase requests and managing the material through delivery and payment.
- Work with buyers and proactively work LMAP requirements for purchase of material.
- Work with Buyers and obtain status from suppliers on material delivery and keep the status current with various stakeholders.
- Monitor P2P open/close report for timely invoice payment.
- Use PCard where applicable in accordance
with policy SOE-0114.
- Negotiate where applicable best pricing strategies. Request multiple quotes from various suppliers where applicable.
Supply Chain / Logistics experience with excellent
verbal and communication skills.
Negotiation and problem-solving skills
Candidate should be able to work independently with
some direct supervision at times.
Ability to work in a team environment to manage the
material / supply chain requirements and ensure
program and business success with the ability to
Functional knowledge of Microsoft products including
MS Word and Excel.
Working knowledge of one or more of the following:
supply chain procedures, logistics,
contract/subcontract administration, cost and pricing,
acquisition, supply chain engineering and
Proficient in applying knowledge to assist
in material planning, logistics and portions of the
supply chain efforts.
Responsible for the review and working Bill of
Materials (BOMs) and working other material
requirements as necessary.
Ability to become expert in the use of the various
systems in support of procurement of various
services and goods. Exhibits strong problem solving
skills in the application of material, planning and
supply chain management.
Innovative and capable of developing outside of the box ideas/solutions
