Responsibilities and Duties


  • Analyze the record, document, and content management needs of the business
  • Work with business stakeholders to develop the enterprise content management and collaboration strategy for client
  • Work with the business areas in client to develop a comprehensive electronic content architecture that is effective and efficient
  • Apply ECM architecture principles to develop a strategic roadmap
  • Partner with the IT groups to align the technical solution with the business requirements
  • Monitor regulatory activity to maintain state and federal compliance with records and document management laws/regulations
  • Effectively communicate the improvements/benefits of the new digital strategy in order to gain business support
  • Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of ECM software platforms and vendors
  • Ensure software developed adheres to best practices and quality standards through code and design reviews
  • Interface with client technical leads and architects in support of integration design
  • Display strong leadership skills, including the ability to deliver constructive feedback and the ability to lead by example
  • Identify risks and challenges the customer should expect to encounter with the solution based on similar efforts done with other customers.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert for document management operations including adhering to the proper prepping, scanning and indexing guidelines set forth in policy and procedures.
  • Provides timely communication back to the end users with issues associated with document imaging / scanning.
  • Perform quality review on the digital file quality, manages data entry / metadata, and captures complex production metrics
  • Owns assignment of relevant metadata based on document content
  • Perform checks on the scan quality and OCR quality of processed documents, to include prevention of classified spillages by reporting
  • Coordinate with program team (stakeholders) to enact the program and project filing and digital document management programs.
  • Perform periodic reviews of digital and hard copy records to ensure compliance to procedures
  • Creates sustainable solution approach by using available commodity software/services while accomplishing client specific needs

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Skills Needed

  • Experience architecting and developing applications in OpenText / Documentum, Captiva, Office 365 / SharePoint, or other collaboration and content management platforms
  • Experience working with organizations to develop ECM strategies and associated roadmaps
  • Proven experience in business process engineering and workflow automation
  • Experience in setting up different kinds of Single Sign On (SSO) configurations
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work effectively across organization boundaries
  • Experience in creating and articulating ECM architectural models and abstract solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in leading process improvement
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership
  • Ability to facilitate group discussions, conflicts and resolutions
  • Demonstrated experience in managing resources to meet goals across multiple projects
  • Expert project management and organizational leadership skills, including the ability to identify and manage risk
  • Ability to define solutions that will generate measurable results for the business and customers

Minimum Requirements

  • BA or MS in Business, Computer Science or related curriculum
  • 10+ years of experience with IT with emphasis on data management and electronic content management
  • A proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives in large organizations
