Constellation Industries is looking for an Orbital Welder with pipe fabrication experience for work in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate for the Orbital Welder role will be motivated and experienced. They will be responsible for maintaining equipment and tools related to the operation of orbital welding and ensuring welds meet specific quality requirements.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Follow established welding procedures to set up and operate the orbital welding system
- Perform orbital welding of stainless-steel pipe and/or tubing. Includes welding on various types of fittings such as elbows, flanges, etc.
- Operate cranes and other machinery safely to move materials as needed.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Maintain a clean working area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Perform daily routine, and preventative maintenance/inspection on welding equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Certification from a formal orbital weld training program preferred
- 2+ years of orbital welding experience required
- Experience working in a pipe fabrication shop environment
- Knowledge of common hand tools and power tools
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high quality work.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment physical and drug screen
