Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Associate Process Planner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
The selected candidate will utilizes complete understanding and wide application of planning principles & concepts, and general knowledge of all micro-electronics assembly & test processes, to correctly translate engineering drawing requirements and other technical documents into clear and concise manufacturing fabrication work instructions for assemblers, test technicians, and inspectors.
Creates, maintains, and releases Part Master Plans (PMP), Manufacturing Bill of materials (MBOM) and Change Control Worksheets (CCW) accurately and on time to meet customer demands.
Correctly reads and interprets engineering drawings, command media, operation procedures, and other technical documents to deliver work that is only reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Use CAD tools to convert engineering drawings into visual aids.
Interprets disposition instructions on discrepancy reports and implements resolution instructions into production work orders.
Participates in process improvements.
Serves as point of contact for Audits
Maintains Planning metrics.
Works under only general supervision.
Is open, honest, and communicates well for effective collaboration with other team members in Engineering, Quality, Assembly, and Test disciplines.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with cost account managers, manufacturing engineers, assembly technicians, PM&P engineers, product engineers, and electrical/test engineers.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
Experience with CAD tools
Experience in a production environment
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government SCI security clearance
Knowledge of microelectronic assembly processes and procedures
Experience with SAP
Ability to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints
Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously
Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward), interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
2 years minimum experience in Process Planning
Active In scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance
