Opportunity Summary
The Manager, Mortgage Lending oversees the daily operations of a mortgage brokerage firm. This role involves managing the mortgage process from application to closing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading a team of mortgage professionals. The Operations Manager plays a critical role in maintaining high service standards, improving operational efficiency, and achieving business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Manage the end-to-end mortgage process, ensuring smooth and timely completion of loan applications.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of mortgage applications, underwriting, and closings.
- Stay updated with federal, state, and local regulations governing mortgage lending.
- Ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain compliance standards.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, realtors, and other industry professionals.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement changes to achieve operational goals.
- Hire, supervise, train, and mentor a team of loan officers, processors, and administrative staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage lending in Florida, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Valid Mortgage Broker license (Florida)
- In good standing with NMLS
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in mortgage software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
