Midwest Professional Canine Service (Midprok9) dba: Paw-a-day Inn K9 Suites is looking to hire an experienced balanced dog trainer at their Tilton Illinois location. This ideal candidate will be both motivated and excited to learn. Patience, consistency and excellent communications skills using both verbal and non-verbal communication is required to effectively teach the canines and human clients. Dog trainer must also communicate with dog owners on a regular basis when their dog is training. As a trainer with us you will:
- Train dogs in basic and advance obedience
- Train Board & Train, Private and Group Classes to our clients and their dogs.
- Train Daily Boot Camp to dogs attending boarding and/or Doggy Daycare
- Assist in Training Police K9 Teams
- Training Service Dogs
- Promote our dog training programs
Requirements:
- Must have 1 year minimum experience training Basic and Advance obedience in private and group class setting
- Be comfortable and have experience training all sizes and breeds of dogs
- Be able to adhere to the physical demands of the position by being able to run, lift and bend on any occasion
- Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Have a Professional Appearance and the ability to communicate well with others
Ideal candidates will also have skills in:
- Police K9 Training
- Service Dog Training
- Schutzhund
- Protection Dog Training
- AKC Obedience or show
- K9 Agility
- Video editing skills a plus but not mandatory
Candidates will be required to present documentation of their training experience, references and all training certification and/or seminars they have attended.

This is a full time position and pay starts at $40,000 + based on experience.
Hiring Process:
Qualified candidates will be contacted by email, phone call or text to schedule a phone interview. If phone interview goes well, candidate will be invited to spend the day at our facility to demonstrate skills and meet us. We provide some travel reimbursement for this interview.
If candidate meets are requirements a job offer will be made. If accepted, candidate will be required to relocate to this area if daily travel is extensive. We provide some relocating assistance as well.
