Four Seasons Sotheby's International Realty is looking for an entry-level Staff Accountant/Closing Specialist to join the Accounting team. This 40 hour a week position will be responsible for supporting the Accounting Department in processing real estate closing transactions. They will work closely with Four Seasons Sotheby’s International Realty Agents by providing closing transaction activity and processing payments after closings. The Staff Accountant will assist the Director of Finance with necessary financial and business reports to support the Accounting Department. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Process and pay real estate closing transactions for the organization;
  • Report transaction activity to our Associates;
  • Prepares Spreadsheet for weekly and monthly payments to our Franchise per agreements;
  • Assist in preparation of annual 1099’s process for Associates;
  • Support preparation of documentation to support annual Franchise Audit and tax reporting package;
  • Support admin in new processes for closings;
  • Send out Commission Tier Level Volume and monthly pending reports to agents on anniversary;
  • Formulate DASH worksheet on a weekly basis;
  • Process monthly agent production reports for distribution;
  • Cross train to support other accounting functions;
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements

  • Willingness to learn new systems and assist in improving processing and reporting;
  • Ability to positively and comfortably handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with focused attention to detail;
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed;
  • Strong mathematical skills;
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is preferred with at least 2 years of experience;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word;
  • Experience with Real Estate Software, Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP System preferred
