We are seeking a Sr. Quantitative Analyst to join our journey of transitioning our data management, analytics and reporting processes to modern architecture and delivery solutions backed by big data technologies, tools and cloud computing. The ideal candidate will be someone who can take charge, think big, deliver on commitments and help to drive advanced analytics and user adoption of visualization applications.
In this role you will be part of a high caliber analytics team charged with the responsibility of driving business performance using insightful data analytics and reporting. You will be expected to use latest analytical tools and techniques to continuously optimize every aspect of the business including segmentation, forecasting, variance analysis, trending etc.
You will design and develop rich visualization dashboards that efficiently summarize performance metrics and KPIs and provide self-serve capability to the end-users in intuitive and insightful ways. Collaborate with other data scientists, business analysts and IT partners to drive adoption of cutting edge data visualization tools and techniques to help our business leaders obtain interactive data insights and make meaningful decisions. Provide strategic partnership on executing on data strategy that promotes modern data architecture, governance and democratization of data access. Develop and maintain expertise in data extraction, manipulation and consolidation from multiple data environments and lead data migration strategy to Big Data ingestion, development and consumption framework.
You will partner with business leaders to define business problems and translate problems into analytical solutions that drive business strategy optimization, process automation, control refinement etc. Understand and break down organizational priorities, identify data and analytics impact and execute on tasks that contribute to the overall business goals. Coordinate with multiple business partners to ensure that all business needs and projects are appropriately identified, prioritized and executed.
Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years or Masters with 5+ years, or PhD with 2+ years; advanced analytics experience in large data environment
Education in quantitative field preferred: Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computing and Information Theory, Econometrics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, or Industrial / Electrical Engineering
Experienced in supporting organizations with advanced analytics, delivering presentations to high level business stakeholders that tell cohesive, logical stories using data
Consulting orientation with ability to influence both internal & external business partners. Comfortable creating and presenting recommendations to senior management and capable of influencing/motivating multiple stakeholders
Demonstrated history of leading end-to-end machine learning initiatives and identifying new opportunities to grow the business and customer experience
Demonstrated versatility in working with different types of data; financial, customer, transactional e-commerce, event-level product data, unstructured data
Demonstrated track record of executing on large scale automation initiatives using data exploration, enrichment and preparation tools such as Alteryx and Trifacta
Subject matter expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView and ability to identify best practice and uphold highest standards of quality in dashboards and analytical solutions
Experience with big data technologies and programming languages including Hadoop, Python, Spark, and Scala.
Solid proficiency in developing reporting solutions and providing data analytics.
Ability to perform independent research and discovery around data environments, processes and tools and provide impactful solutions
Experience working with various databases (Teradeta, Oracle, Snowflake, S3, DataBricks), data lake querying engines (Dremio, Presto, AtScale) and database querying languages (SQL, HQL, SparkSQL)
Experience working with private and public Big Data platforms such as Hadoop, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Experience in source control technologies like SVN/Git and
Ability to adapt to new technologies and data tools and work independently as well as within a cooperative, team environment
Ability to manage execution and delivery of multiple projects in an agile manner and adapt to changing business priorities while still meeting delivery deadlines.
