DUTIES
**Must hold one or more ( LMSW/LCSW/LGPC/LPC ) to qualify***
- Conduct patient assessments to determine their mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide individual therapy sessions to clients using evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and enhance social skills
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques to provide immediate support and assistance to clients in crisis situations
- Incorporate art therapy techniques into treatment plans to enhance self-expression and promote emotional healing
- Provide counseling and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them navigate daily challenges and improve their quality of life
- Offer specialized care for individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), utilizing trauma-focused therapies and interventions
- Provide counseling services for individuals experiencing chronic pain, helping them manage their symptoms and improve their overall well-being
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and interventions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Therapist
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders
- Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and art therapy
- Familiarity with medical terminology, including ICD-10 codes for accurate diagnosis and billing purposes
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
