Basic Job Functions

:

This position will be responsible for projects in the small to medium size range. In which they will Track accurate cost data against planned expenditures on the work breakdown structure in support of the Project Manager and provide measurement and progress reporting for all aspects of EPC Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant projects including expenditures and reporting trends. Reports to the Project Controls Supervisor/Manager.

Responsibilities

Performs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as directed.

Analyzes schedule progress and performance to identify developing problem areas

Prepares short-term look ahead schedules and leads the update in routine progress reporting

Reviews Subcontracts Log for accuracy and to ensure work performed percentage complete is in alignment with PMV percentage complete, as applicable. Due 1st business day of the month.

Helps with Customer invoicing

Tracks self-perform labor, costs and installation, unit rates - weekly

Helps close POs

Analyze/tracks PO expenditures vs. the quote for services and proposes PO increases as necessary (see spreadsheet) as needed

Maintains spreadsheet for planned PMV goals vs. accomplishments, remaining to install

Tracks site specific requirements as directed (ex. DSL flood costs)

Work with site to track current and future equipment needs – trailers, carts, generators, post machines, resistors as needed

Notifies Project Control Supervisor/Manager of site issues that have a potential of impacting either cost or schedule

Weekly/Daily updates to Project Controls Supervisor/Manager

Prepare detailed cost analysis to identify and explain variances on a monthly basis, as directed

Develop cost forecast from project plan and update monthly with guidance from the Project Controls Supervisor/Manager

Review and provide feedback to project schedules in MS Project.

Monitors variances from the current budget and assists with the control, formulation and interpretation of budgets, trends, and estimates at completion, as directed

Provides accurate cost coding for purchase orders, vendor invoices, and subcontractor invoices and verifies provided cost codes are recorded in the accounting system

Requirements:
Graduate of a four year accredited college or university program preferably in Engineering, Business/Accounting, or Construction Management

Excellent interpersonal/communication and organization skills

Excel skills required, with an understanding of scalable processes.

Analytical and estimating skills

Advanced user skills in Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Dependability and diligence in executing assigned work responsibilities

Flexibility concerning daily activities and priorities.

Physical Requirements:
Will sit and stand periodically during the day.

Required to lift up to 25 lbs.

Will walk and climb stairs.

Will reach over shoulder heights and below waist.

Required to use hands to lift, handle, carry or feel.

May be required to kneel, bend, talk and hear.
