A Middle Market organization is looking for a driven Senior Manager of Human Resources to guide and manage the Human Resources function including: employee relations, on-boarding, performance management, benefits administration, compensation management, employment law compliance, and required compliance reporting. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and foster a collaborative team environment by acting as a leader focused on individual, team, and corporate success.
Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal, intrapersonal) and ability to build strong relationships and build respect with peers.
Experience conducting employee relations investigations and documenting and resolving complaints.
Working knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and statutes. Experience with employment law and Service Contract Act contracts preferred.
Prepares offer letters; processes new employee paperwork; complies with eVerify; maintains HRIS records.
Liaises with payroll and Information Technology regarding new hires, terminations, transfers, etc.
Working knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems
Handles workers compensation claim reporting and compliance with OSHA reporting regulations.
Supports Business Development activities, to include Pink/Red Team participation, proposal development, and staffing recruitment.
Tracks and generates reports (metrics, spreadsheets, etc.) as requested.
Must have prior Government contracting experience.
A motivated leader with strong initiative, attention to detail, ability to think proactively and problem-solve. Possess a dedication to follow up and follow through, with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant progressive HR experience.
Understanding of company HR policies, processes, employment law, and government compliance regulations (i.e., FLSA, ADA, FMLA, EEOC, GINA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, AAP, etc.).
Current PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
