We are looking for someone that is able to keep himself/herself organized and motivated as this V Pizza location is in Gainesville and outside of our main hub in Jacksonville, FL. You MUST be able to improvise, design, and implement procedures & processes to ensure this location's success without someone else "holding your hand." The plan is to train you for 6 weeks in Jacksonville at our concepts other locations and then for 2 weeks further in Gainesville to ensure you're fully integrated and assimilated to the V Pizza way and culture. Please be aware, again - I cannot state this clearly enough- we are looking for someone that wants to be in Gainesville as the GM of our Gainesville location long-term and has the ability to work in Jacksonville for 6 weeks for training. If you do not have this capability or desire, you will not be considered. You're going to have to be a responsible and mature person with the ability to hold yourself to a standard worthy of being followed without being micromanaged. If this sounds like you, keep reading.

The buck stops here. Ultimately, this person is responsible for the entirety of the location. This includes both FOH and BOH. He/She must be a person that can handle the expectations and responsibility of an entire store operation. He/She will be held accountable for the actions of the management team and staff. A GM will direct and oversee all activities of a restaurant in accordance with company standards in order to provide friendly, excellent service, fantastic food, a clean & safe environment to work and eat in, and profitable operations (scheduling/hiring/cost management). He/She should also expect to not only manage and oversee the staff, but also be willing and able to take part in them. Nothing your people do for you will be something that you personally haven't done - from dish washing to order taking to drink making to making a trash run.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • ENSURE BOTH FOH AND KM are completing their responsibilities
  • Communicate to Upper Management/Owners & to entire store (you’re the liaison)
  • Maintain safety standards throughout the entire property
  • Lead and motivate staff to complete their tasks in efficient manner
  • Meet Labor, Food, Beer, Wine Cost Targets
  • Hold Meetings with management team to train & coordinate needs/wants in the store
  • Continued education with staff to ensure we do not slack from correct V Pizza standards
  • Lead by example

KM DUTIES

  • Coordination of the pizza makers, dishwashers, expo, etc in:
  • Making our food to spec
  • ALWAYS delivery of “The Art of Pizza…”
  • Manage food safety and cleanliness in the areas food inhabits
  • Communication with kitchen regarding food related issues
  • Kitchen Staff attitudes and demeanor
  • You ARE on display to our guests. You’re part of the guest experience
  • 2nd – Food runner interaction with customer
  • 3rd – Follow up with every customer on the food that was delivered.
  • Cleanliness of FOOD Areas (kitchen, walkin, coolers, freezers, delivery and storage areas)
  • Customer Problems

KM SECONDARY DUTIES

  • Oversee training and standards to V Pizza specs and expectations
  • Train employees to anticipate and meet customer needs
  • Interview potential BOH staff
  • Assist staff (do the job also)
  • Manage employee contests or other employee engagement opportunities
  • Assist GM & FOH in duties – none of you work all shifts all days; be part of the team
  • Marketing your V, your customers experience dictates what is said about your store. You are in charge of the customer experience! MAKE IT GREAT – EVERY CUSTOMER – EVERY TIME!

FOH PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Coordination of the hosts, cashiers, servers, food runners, and bussers in:
  • Customer order taking
  • Seating
  • Food delivery
  • Flipping of tables
  • Hosts', Servers', Food Runners’, Bussers’, and Cashiers’ attitudes and demeanor
  • Customer “Touches” – minimum of 3 for every customer
  • 1st – Cashier/Server/Host interaction with customer
  • 2nd – Food runner interaction with customer
  • 3rd – Follow up with every customer on the food that was delivered.
  • Cleanliness of Customer Areas (dining room, bathrooms, outdoors (parking/seating)
  • Customer Problems

FOH SECONDARY DUTIES

  • Oversee promotional activities including booking events and parties
  • Train employees to anticipate and meet customer needs
  • Interview potential FOH staff
  • Assist staff when needed (run food, bus a table, clean a table, take an order)
  • Manage employee contests or other employee engagement opportunities
  • Assist GM & KM in duties – none of you work all shifts all days; be part of the team
