Senior Communications Manager, Trello

Atlassian is looking for a communications expert to craft and nurture the stories we share with the world. You will drive communications for Trello, a visual collaboration tool that creates a shared perspective on any project. Acquired by Atlassian almost 2 years ago, Trello has more than 35 million registered users. In this role, you’ll build a global brand and act as strategic communications partner to executives across the company, helping them clearly articulate their vision. You’ll be part of a global brand and communications team, reporting to the Head of Product Communications in San Francisco.

Key responsibilities include:
Translating the love Trello users feel about the product and turning that into external communications opportunities.
Creating and executing proactive communications campaigns that highlight how Trello enables collaboration with colleagues at work as well as with friends and family at home.
Developing the external communications strategy for company vision, product launches, and other external brand activities.
Working with our executives, product & marketing teams, and customers to develop messaging and storytelling narratives that appeal to both business and consumer press.
Coordinating and managing speaking opportunities for Trello executives, including creating positioning, event submissions, and external presentations.
Managing media relations and driving annual press and analyst plans and deliverables.

On your first day, we'd love you to have:
Minimum of 7 years of communications experience with consumer or enterprise technology, in-house or at an agency.
Ability to build and run communications programs, independently.
Creativity to tackle everything from a product feature launch to wedding campaign, start to finish.
Relationships with business and technology journalists and influencers.
A knack for knowing what will interest media and industry analysts and how to shape messaging for different audiences.
Top notch decision-making skills: Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities and articulate the rationale behind decisions.
Great writing skills, with a love for penning messaging platforms, pitches, press releases, and executive speaking points.
An interest in the latest moves in technology and the future of work.
High-energy and the ability to be scrappy and multi-task to prioritize high profile projects and juggle urgent inbound requests with ease.
