The Accountant supports the financial statement close cycle and operational accounting functions to ensure timely reporting and compliance with relevant procedures and controls. Responsible for accurate accounting of payroll, benefits, and fixed assets, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation for assigned areas.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for specific accounts as assigned, including payroll and benefits-
Understand when fixed assets should be properly capitalized and ensures that related documentation is complete and accurate

Prepare analysis of fluctuation in Balance Sheet and P&L statements as assigned

Prepare financial and audit schedules and reports as assigned

Work closely with management to collect any receivables
-
Prepare the Nevada Sales and Use Tax Reports and ensure that they are paid timely
-
Prepare, review, and record the month end inventory count
-
Monitor applicable licensing requirements, including city business and liquor compliance, fire permits, health permits, etc.

Work on special projects and assists team members as needed

Assist and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent experience
-
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
-
Valid Driver’s License
-
21+ years of age

WORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

Must have two to three (2-3) years of direct work experience with food and beverage industry

Great Plains experience preferred

Proficient in Windows Microsoft Office, Mac OSX, POS systems
