Cambridge International Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Project Manager (PM) working within the Navy’s Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) Virtual Health Program.
This position will have an active role in assisting BUMED transform Navy Medical operations, develop and sustain Virtual Health (VH) projects, and implement business processes. The PM will support the Navy Virtual Health Program Director and Program Management Office by providing project management and lifecycle management services.
The PM will work in Falls Church, VA and must have an active SECRET clearance, prior military experience, and have or be able to obtain a PMP within the first 6 months of employment.
The Project Manager will:
oversee all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects.
serve as a single point of contact for all projects as well as define project scope and objectives.
takes projects from original concept through final implementation, and work in teams (military, government civilians, and other contractor personnel) to execute projects.
interface with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.
develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
ensure adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables.
provides technical and analytical guidance to the project team.
recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solution of problems.

Ability to collaborate with suppliers to drive program success, manage project issues, risks, and develop mitigation plans

Bachelor’s Degree (business, informatics, technology or related degree)
Three years’ experience as a PM experience supporting healthcare initiatives and projects
PMP/PMI Certification, or can attain within six (6) months of being hired
US Citizen with active/interim SECRET clearance
Experience managing projects in matrix organization with diverse team members including internal and external personnel, consultants, and global resources
Experience in initiating project reviews, aggregating, and coordinating project reporting information into a program level report suitable for the Director of the Program Office and other senior executives
Demonstrable experience managing projects throughout a full lifecycle (from inception deployment and maintenance)
Expertise in project management disciplines, methodologies, and industry best practices using one or all the following: Agile, Scrum, Iterative, and/or CMMI, et al
Experience in negotiating project scope, further demonstrating success executing formal estimation techniques and/or metrics collection for reporting
Tools Experience: Project monitoring, Requirements management, Issue tracking, Online collaboration tools, Change Management, Microsoft Project (MPP), Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel and Power Point.
Three years’ experience working in the military healthcare and telehealth environment
Clinical experience is a plus
Meets or exceeds DOD 8570 requirements for IAM-I (i.e. Security + CE)
