Position Summary: TrueCare24 is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team in Ohio as a fully remote provider helping individuals and families with substance use disorder and medication assisted treatments have healthy and happier lives!
Schedule: every Tuesday 9am to 7pm. Either Monday, Wed, or Thursday for any 6-8 hours between the hours on 9am to 6pm. Total 16-18 hours weekly.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Diagnosing, prescribing medications/ conducting medication management for patients having psychiatric-mental health problems/substance use disorder and those likely to have them.
- Providing emergency psychiatric services
- Physical and psychosocial examination of patients
- Developing appropriate treatment plans and providing effective management of patient care with proper evaluation.

- Read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with others and maintain documentationand perform other record keeping tasks in accordance with agency and accreditation standards.
- Computer skills sufficient to enter required data and documentation and to generate reports.
- Pass the agency’s background check.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with clients for up to 60 minutes at onetime.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently maintain and chart documentation in accordance withegulations.
- Strong knowledge of county, state, and federal regulations for MAT

- Experience with trauma-informed services, cognitive behavioral therapies including DBT,and motivational therapies including the use of incentives preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provides comprehensive medical/psychiatric evaluation
- Works in collaboration with multidisciplinary team to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Makes referrals for further diagnostic psychological or medical testing as needed
- Provides crisis intervention and referral for psychiatric hospitalization.
- Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute,
critical, and chronically ill perioperative patients.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs.
- Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
- Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic and psychologicalstability,including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role.
- Monitors the effectiveness of interventions.
- Facilitates the patient’s transition within and between health care settings, e.g. admitting,transferring, and discharging patients.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
- Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.
- Responsible for providing outpatient and residential care to patients showing a change ordecline in mental status, chronic or urgent medical conditions
- Consult with physicians on cases that are beyond the scope of qualification of PMHNP
- Put all relevant patient data in medical records and case presentations
- Formulate, execute and review healthcare education delivered to patients and families fordiseases prevention
- Ensure smooth communication with other health professionals for effective delivering ofclinical service to patients
- Provide consultation to the clinic’s nursing and medical staff for improvement in their workperformance, which enhances overall quality service delivery of the clinic
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Master of Nursing degree
Licensure: Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Ohio
Active DEA certifiication required
Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a NP in a psychiatric setting preferred
Experience with families affected by substance abuse preferred
Experience with treating Adults and Adolescents preferred
Experience with tx of sud and MAT preferred
Other skills: Basic computer knowledge required.
