Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for an AX Developer in our Information Technology Department for our Columbus, OH location.
Our AX Developer will be responsible for the following:
Works to accomplish all tasks to achieve product team goals
Design, develop, and maintain the company’s Microsoft Dynamics AX code base, application, and infrastructure
Continued learning of necessary tools, technologies, processes, and methodologies to provide AX expertise to supported product team and company applications and integrations
Code to established Microsoft Best Practices
Perform debugging and testing of all AX solutions
Address any support issues and assist others to resolve any production related concerns

Must be an excellent problem solver
At least 2 years development experience using X++ and the MorphX IDE in Dynamics AX, or 3 years’ experience with another object-oriented language like C# or Java
Experience with AX workflow and security development techniques
Good knowledge of Microsoft tSQL stored procedures, and database design
Familiarity with another Object-Oriented language, E.G. C#, Java, and the .Net Framework
Ability to design and develop reports using SSRS development tools
Proficient with Windows operating systems and Office tools
Excellent phone manner and customer service skills
Experience with project management skills, specifically how to work with deadlines and how to estimate the duration of a project
Experience working with deadlines and estimating the duration of a project
Ability to articulate and submit project status updates
Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, managers, sales representatives, and outside vendors
Ability to work well with a small team and in fast-paced environment
Must have a “can-do” attitude
Is flexible to work outside of normal business hours
This position requires the execution of an Employment Agreement contract between Kimball-Midwest and the employee
