As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors — from fraud detection, to cancer research, to national intelligence — you know the answers are in the data.
We have an opportunity for you to use your leadership and analytical skills to improve National Security. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll mentor teammates, build predictive analytics, perform research on structured and unstructured data, use automation, apply machine learning, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help National Security and Intelligence leaders make informed decisions. You’ll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it.

You Have:
Experience with Python or R programming languages
Experience with data manipulation, analytic business insight tools, and data visualization
Experience with SciPy stack or Tidyverse packages
Experience with statistical and machine learning techniques including supervised and unsupervised learning and natural language processing
Experience with frequentist statistics and probability including predictive modelling
Experience with visualizing data using popular packages, including Tableau, ggplot, or Matplotlib
Knowledge of computer science concepts, data architecture, and statistics
Ability to construct and perform complex database search queries
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with social network and link-analysis tools
Experience with Amazon Web Services
Experience with front end web development
Experience with designing and implementing neural network architectures
Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
