Summary: Provides respiratory care services by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews respiratory care orders for appropriateness and completeness.
Confers with nurses, doctors or other healthcare professionals
Provides respiratory care services at customer's location for setup of equipment, the performance of clinical services or customer education
Evaluates effects of respiratory therapy treatment plan by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommending adjustments and modifications.
Maintains patient confidence and protects facility and company operations by keeping information confidential.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Serves as a clinical resource for co-workers, client facilities, patients and caregivers.
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Answers questions about service.
Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Possesses the ability to communicate with clients of all age groups and varying levels of education
Participates in Quality Improvement activities.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program
NBRC certification (CRT) RRT preferred
Currently Licensed RCP State of Ohio
Must possess strong clinical skills, customer service and interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills, mechanical aptitude, problem solving and the ability to function independently.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
