Summary

We are immediately seeking a talented Director of Quality Assurance Engineering who will share our passion for market differentiation and excellence. The successful candidate will have experience implementing and managing quality assurance/quality control activities that serve as feedback loops to development teams. This person will lead, coach, mentor, and manage the quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter but be able to create and work in team environments and be able challenging the status quo. The Director of Quality Assurance Engineering is expected to establish and communicate a vision for rapid, systematic, automated, repeatable testing; then effectively lead projects and priorities and collaborate well with internal stakeholders to accomplish this vision. The Director of Quality Assurance Engineering must be results driven, data centric, process oriented, and detailed to deliver consistently in a rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities

Lead a Quality Assurance Engineering teams responsible for functional and regression testing, developing and building automation framework and performing automation testing, and quality control of content/experience updates.

Lead and manage the testing of large-scale systems, create test plans, test cases, and drive continuous improvements to the quality assurance processes

Design and Lead creation and optimization of test automation framework and programs to reduce time to market and improving quality of deliverables

Create and get team habituated to create process documentation for internal alignment and operational efficiency

Lead a team to develop quality processes for the quality assurance and engineering organizations.

Establish performance metrics to manage process improvements, test effectiveness, and forecasting

Willing and capable of Coiaching and mentoring of team members and manager to grow and

Lead day to day QA engineering team operations to match the needs of SCRUM teams

Communicate testing backlog, prioritization, and test results to provide transparency to the organization regarding the testing process and quality of deliverables

Manage the test environment to ensure consistent testing and availability of resources.

Lead execution of QA automation and engineering efforts for all products.

Interpret and apply payment industry compliance and security requirements as they pertain to quality processes

Establish and work within a budget to accomplish objectives

Able to lead and support DevOps model of operations for rapid deployment of new software components in the field.

Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Quality Management or related scientific discipline. MS desired.

Minimum 10 years of work experience in mobile and embedded application development, with a minimum of 7+ years of experience managing a Quality and automation experience in prior roles.

Demonstrated delivery of projects on time and on budget and strong leadership experience

Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills are essential for communicating within the team and with customers

Proven experience testing embedded/mobile applications, web applications and services, and data

Proficient at Jira tools, QASymphony tools and Agile Scrum methodologies

Proficient with test tools for tracking, forecasting, and automation of testing journey

Ability to manage remote QA teams.

Experience with managing concurrent release activities

Critical thinking and decision making skills

Strong project and people management skills

Must be flexible and capable of working in a fast paced organization

Must be able to balance business needs to drive order and consistency within a fluid operating environment

Exposure to OWASP and security testing

Android OS level testing a plus

Hardware testing and proficiency with DevOps practices and migration
