- Financial Analysis
The Policy Research and Analytics (PRA) - Banking, Credit, and Operational Risk section provides quantitative risk and banking expertise to S&R's policy and supervisory efforts. Through quantitative evaluation, the section:
i) guides and supports proposed rule-makings,
ii) ensures proper implementation of existing rules in banking institutions, and
iii) monitors regulatory policy effectiveness.
The PRA intern will work on various data collections from supervised banks. They may access databases using SQL, update or create new data quality rules, and test various data processes. The interns may also develop new processes for analyzing financial data, document processes for the data, or otherwise analyze data under the direction of permanent staff. Programming skills in SQL, R, or Python are desired.
