Job Summary

Based in Sandy, UT, Syscon Automation Group is recognized as one of Utah’s leaders in control systems integration. We are a recognized Rockwell Systems integrator, Authorized FANUC integrator, and member of the Control Systems Integrator Association. We are in search of someone who can help us design and program control systems for our clients. We focus on being the experts for controls, a subject that most people don’t understand but know it is critical to their operations.

We are looking for candidates with strong industrial experience. We need to see people who have experience successfully leading teams of controls engineers and are experts with PLC's and HMI's. Experience in material handling and a food manufacturing environment are preferred. We are growing and seeking senior controls engineers to join the team.

Responsibilities and Duties

Leading and mentoring junior engineers

Architecting and designing control systems

PLC/HMI programming

Robot programming

Designing controls panels

Troubleshooting equipment

Specifying controls hardware & field instrumentation

Traveling to job sites (local and out of state)

Interfacing with customers

Solving problems

Qualifications and Skills

BS/BA degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science

Proven track record of success leading control system projects

At least 5 years of PLC programming experience

Comfortable in an industrial environment

Database programming skills a plus

AutoCAD & MS Office proficiency
