Overview
PDQ Manufacturing, Inc., located in Ellijay, GA, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the accounting department by performing various accounting tasks, including invoicing, accounts payable and accounts receivable. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your valuable experience in accounting and work with a dynamic team. Position reports to Chief Financial Officer. Candidate will be subject to a background check.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of financial records
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
- Utilize accounting software to perform accounting tasks
- Provide excellent customer service and support to colleagues
- Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards
Experience
- At least 10 years of experience in bookkeeping / accounting
- Motivated, self starter
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Familiarity with journal entries and account analysis
- Ability to reconcile accounts and perform account analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency with accounting software and systems
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Knowledge of journal entries and account analysis
- Ability to reconcile accounts and perform account analysis
