FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN (HVAC)
Nyle Systems is a rapidly growing, innovative company that develops, manufactures and sells heat pump driven, energy saving products (www.nyle.com). Specifically, we are active in Lumber Drying; Food Dehydration and Heat Pump water Heating (all commercial and industrial). Nyle helps its customers move towards a sustainable energy system. Our manufacturing and design operations are in Brewer, Maine.
Job Description:
We are looking for experienced Field Service Technicians with a focus on Refrigeration, Building Automation & Controls and potentially Hydronic Systems to strengthen our customer support team. Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Service calls: Visit customer sites to repair equipment including warranty and non-warranty work.
- Equipment installations and start-ups: Visit customer sites to install and start-up new equipment, including training of customer operators.
- The successful Field Service applicant should expect to travel 75% of the time. Travel can be daytrips and overnights, typically throughout the US & Canada.
- Telephone support: When not traveling, help with customer phone support, covering a wide variety of questions about technical support and equipment usage.
- When not traveling and not involved in service calls, train on new capabilities and skills and help with equipment manufacturing / testing and support other activities.
The position reports to the Director of Service and has room to grow.
Job Requirements and qualifications:
- The successful Field Service Technician candidate will combine great people skills with a thorough technical understanding of our products and a drive to provide consistently good customer service.
- First rate field service technician, with a minimum of 3 years experience or more in servicing refrigeration; heat pumps or similar equipment
- Understanding of heat pump / refrigeration system design
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good at dealing with wide variety of customers.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must have EPA Certification
- Experience servicing industrial gas furnaces and or hydronic systems is a plus.
- Results driven. High energy and drive and focus on meeting commitments.
