The Lifeguard is responsible for maintaining a safe pool environment for all members and guests and promptly and appropriately responding to any emergencies in or around the pool. The Lifeguard reports to the General Manager.

Create the TSI Environment
Models the core attributes of a successful employee with the utmost integrity, lives the mission and empowers others to do the same; focused on building meaningful relationships with members, their kids and team members.
Modeling and promoting the Clubhouse Rules.
Adhering to all TSI policies and procedures including, but not limited to timeliness, codes of conduct, dress and timekeeping.
Enforce pool policies and standards of safe conduct for all members and guests.
Build a High Performing Team
Actively facilitates self and team member development; constantly seeking new ways to build skills and competency; elevates the brand experience.
Inspecting the pool area for hazardous conditions and take appropriate steps to eliminate risks, including keeping pool area free of clutter and eliminating tripping/slipping hazards.
Testing and recording chemical readings every two hours (every hour in the Maryland and DC clubs) in accordance with TSI Code. Report any abnormal readings and partner with club mgmt team to rectify.
Recognizing emergencies and responding effectively, completing any necessary incident and/or accident reports.
Achieve Measurable Results
Meets and exceeds company goals and metrics surrounding employees and members; never satisfied with the status quo.
Attending in-service trainings to maintain lifeguard skills and practice emergency action plans.
When there is no one in the pool, clean the pool area, including vacuuming the pool and cleaning the deck, windows, waterline and equipment.
Ensuring all necessary equipment, including first aid supplies, is present in the pool area and notifying the General Manager if additional supplies or equipment are required.
Required Skills and Experience
CPR/AED for the Processional Rescuer or Health Care Provider certified.
Prior lifeguard experience preferred.
