We have an immediate need for an energetic Activities Coordinator to join the team at one of our newest, premiere Senior housing communities located in Fort Myers, FL: Campo Felice.

The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of resident services and events as it relates to all aspects of United Group’s SUN program, ensuring a full calendar of events is offered. The Activities Coordinator will provide direct services to residents for social, craft, recreational, and cultural activities. Prior experience in event coordination and working with senior population is preferred.

This is a full time position, Monday through Friday (8:00am – 5:00pm), with some weekends hours required as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of responsibilities normally performed by the Activities Coordinator:

Plans, organizes, instructs, and supervises residents in crafts, games, sports, recreational, and cultural activities
Creates calendars, fliers, posters, newsletters, or other materials for the purpose of announcing upcoming programs
Documents resident activity and personal work activity through notes, care plans, or other written documentation
Arranges and serves appropriate refreshments for activities according to resident diet order
Monitors materials and supplies; orders supplies as needed
Act as a liaison to senior service and health care providers in the community
Develop new programs and coordinate activities for residents that support the SUN program
Provides ongoing information and communications with residents in conjunction with management staff via newsletter and event calendar

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in event coordination; senior housing preferred
Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Willingness to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds required; seniors preferred
Professional image compatible with The United Group of Companies, Inc. – positive attitude, energetic, assertive, and ability to serve as a role model
Demonstrates integrity on personal and professional level; ability to provide services while maintaining confidentiality in relation to resident concerns and service needs
Ability to solve problems involving residents, personnel, finances, emergency situations, etc.
Solid administrative skills – knowledge of Microsoft Office products, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher
Ability and willingness to substitute for any position at the site

SCOPE + COMPENSATION:
Minimum forty hours per week; additional hours as required.
Regular schedule to be consistent with established hours of operation
Salary commensurate with level of experience and job requirements
Paid sick, personal, and vacation as outlined in the employee manual

Reasonable business expenses to be paid/reimbursed within the scope of performing routine necessary business.
