As Director Project Management Office, you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. The Director, Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the overall management and effective performance of the Project Management Office with accountability to deliver consistent, high quality project, program, portfolio, and business process management services that enable and support the successful execution of our organizational strategy and priorities. A key member of the Access Services team, the Director of PMO will report directly to the Access Services Senior Director and interact and collaborate effectively with senior leadership.

Key Roles/ Responsibilities:
Establishing the organization’s approach to the full life cycle of projects: This includes everything from project planning, initiation, resourcing and execution to monitoring, control and completion.
Ensuring the PMO meets performance targets: Align with the organization’s strategic objectives and adhere to best practices.
Acting as a trusted strategic advisor: May work alongside business leaders to help determine which projects should be undertaken why and when, not just how.
Drive, manage and ensure appropriate visibility for Portfolio Delivery, partnering closely with IT and business owners
Partner and collaborate with other key stakeholders to understand their portfolio and goals and influence and evolve our approaches to achieve the right amount of oversight, process and transparency.
Manage and be a champion for appropriate enterprise project governance, including ownership of the technology suite, demand planning resource forecasting, project approval process, methodology, gates, standardized reports and the weekly enterprise dashboard report, with a keen eye for how PMO and IT work best together to allow oversight with agility
Ensure we effectively deliver our enterprise roadmap, managing change effectively, understanding the value of the projects and ensuring the appropriate level of transparency via KPI reporting and other communications
Proactively reduce waste and improve value within our processes and tools, via ongoing tangible process improvements
Contribute to annual strategic planning, budget planning and road mapping processes, while reducing overhead to get to the end state and improving accuracy
Responsible for Access 360 business process management
Responsible for ensuring a Risk Analysis and Mitigation process is in place
Regularly track progress on all project plans and provide up-dates to executives as requested. Work with PMs to analyze actual performance against the project plan and make adjustments consistent with plan objectives.
Provide on-going developmental feedback to AD, PMs, BAs as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required
10+ years of executive project management and implementation experience.
Agile hybrid delivery experience; experience extending or modifying methodologies is a plus
Must have management and experience of senior positions
Must understand change management and adoption techniques
Be able to take seemingly unconnected ideas and taking action
Experience evolving PMO processes and tools effectively is required
Demonstrated experience managing effectively through organizational growth and change
Demonstrated experience being a champion for process or change, providing context and clarity , while minimizing overhead
Capability to move quickly between strategic and tactical, understanding context, connecting
Hands on experience with PPM tools and demand planning or resource management, JIRA experience a plus
Strong communication skills (oral, verbal and listening) as well as the ability to influence key decision makers and understand their points of view
Strong leadership, negotiation and execution skills with the ability to drive results, deliver and excel, and own it when you don’t.

Preferred:
Master's Degree preferred
Understanding of various software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) methodology
PMP Certified preferred
