Job Description
Over the next several years, education and learning are going to fundamentally change, and Amazon will play a significant part in this transformation. Amazon is investing in new products for learning and is looking for a Sr. UX Designer to help build out a key program. We are a customer obsessed team and design is central to our customers' experience. This is an opportunity to experiment in an exciting new space from the ground up and shape the rapidly growing domain of enterprise and personalized learning.

Key responsibilities for this role:
Help create the vision for developing, communicating, and implementing the user experience and associated UI framework and assets on a range of products; follow through with the processes and tactics to implement the vision
Produce user flows, wireframes, prototypes, user interface specifications, and final graphics
Initiate and manage user experience research and testing processes
Drive the development and communication of design guidelines, patterns, and libraries
Perform metrics analysis to inform design/UX optimization efforts
Oversee close coordination with the product management team to develop a shared vision of a product and then lead a process to define the experience and design to deliver on the product’s objectives
Partner with the technology team to ensure we leverage the scale offered by our platform without compromising on core experiential principles
Work strategically with other team members across the organization
Partner with others in the broader design community to develop and extend the experience across the array of offerings

Basic Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, graphic designer, art/creative director or similar role.
An informed set of core values regarding user experience, user research, usability, technology, and business communication and the ability to present them with eloquence and concision.
An online portfolio that demonstrates your ability to turn ideas into a strong and unique creative vision. An online portfolio or work samples demonstrating a range of artifacts developed in creating a variety of stunning user-centered design solutions. This is a requirement for application.
Demonstrated fluency in best practices for web-based and mobile information architecture and responsive design, as well as deep and broad knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
Demonstrated ability to drive the design review cycle, close on design requirements and achieve consensus.
Strong user experience skill set including strategy, information architecture, and design aesthetic
Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in digital design, graphic design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
Proven ability in a variety of design tools such as Sketch, Axure, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.
Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, and market
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating beautiful and user-friendly web applications business software, mobile apps and consumer-facing features.
Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to roll up the sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals. Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, or Flash.
Experience with UX for the cloud and/or experience with enterprise software products, channels, or marketplaces
Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban).
Web-based or mobile application visual design in a global context.
Experience creating style guides, pattern libraries, and other design solutions that drive design across large organizations.
Excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills; demonstrated success in building buy-in for an innovative, bold, strategic vision. Fluent in English with a proven track record of presenting to and influencing senior management
