In conjunction with the Student Navigator and under the direct supervision of the Program Director, provides marketing strategies, outreach and recruitment of potential students, and develops community relationships/partnerships to increase participation and education attainment to Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers in the Yuma County area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop marketing strategies and materials for distribution to show the benefit of the HEP program. Promote program offerings to students, other community organizations and partner organizations working with farmworkers.
Work with partner organizations and others for co-enrollment opportunities to enhance wrap around services for a holistic approach to barrier elimination.
Work directly with the National Farmworker Jobs Program and Workforce specialists in the recruitment and referral of farmworkers needing their GED for future employment opportunities and co-enrollment for employment and training opportunities once completing education requirements.
Work with Student Navigator to develop marketing strategies using various media such as television, radio and print advertising, etc., for the outreach and recruitment of potential GED participants.
Create community awareness of PPEP HEP program and PPEP, Inc. programs by attending community meetings
Develop and deliver presentations as needed at community events, job fairs and other venues that will promote outreach and recruitment efforts.
Learn the “culture” of the programs and solicit staff suggestions by attending staff meetings and brainstorming
As necessary, work with the student navigator to assist participants in learning about potential careers and employment opportunities.
Follows up on all contacts and leads to stay focused on current trends and new partnerships
Know HEP eligibility guidelines to outreach and recruit effectively and answer questions.
Makes contact with local One Stop Centers and Coordinates with One Stop Career Centers, DES Job Services and other related service providers to help the process of cross referral and co-enrollment goals

AA degree in Marketing
2 years experience in marketing, recruitment or related field
Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet
Bi-lingual – Spanish/English
Valid Arizona driver’s license and clearance/approval from corporate auto insurer.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel overnight
Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Four (4) years prior work experience in job and Marketing development, outreach & recruitment, case management or related work.
Must be able to see/read a computer monitor screen.
Must be able to lift and carry ten (10) pounds.
Must be able to drive a car and travel as required.
