Director of Regulatory Affairs (Remote)

HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this Director position will oversee ETR’s compliance practices, procedures, and contractual performance. Providing guidance to the Leadership Team, the Director of Regulatory Affairs will advise ETR’s divisions including but not limited to Business Development, Operations, Finance, Public Affairs, and People and Culture. This is a remote position and can work from anywhere within the United States.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, Finance, Public Health or a related field required. J.D. a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of the workings of state and federally funded projects; Experience with CA grants and contracts a plus
- Five or more years’ experience in project management and managing and mentoring all levels of staff.
- At least five years’ experience in contract/grants management.
- Track record of competitive federal and/or state contract and grant projects, including negotiating and acting as liaison with funders and interpreting contract/grant requirements to project staff.
- Strong track record of capacity to contribute to the refinement of governance, risk, and compliance programs with particular emphasis on the protection, secure handling, and privacy of client and research subject personally identifiable information.
- Working knowledge of U.S. regulations governing grants, cooperative agreements and contracts, and OMB Uniform Guidance, along with all applicable CFR regulations.
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial transactions and handling complex IP-related legal issues.
- Excellent drafting skills and ability to adapt legal requirements in balanced, creative, and pragmatic ways, consistent with company objectives, policies, and processes
- Familiar with various health program areas applicable to the work of the ETR.
- Ability to assess appropriate levels of staffing for project activities.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Excellent leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage several tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to timeline adjustments and reorganize work accordingly.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information and records with tact and discretion.
- Computer literate with strong knowledge of computer software (spreadsheets, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Able and willing to travel.
- The use of a personal vehicle or rental car for ETR business will require a valid driver’s license; and proof of insurance.
Location: Remote – United States.
Starting Pay Range: $126,700-154,900 annually. The typical hiring range for this position is $126,700-140,800 at 100% FTE. The starting salary is determined based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
