We are seeking ambitious interns for our unique research and marketing internship program. We are open to all candidates who want to make a difference, someone with interest in a high growth startup. We want someone that can not only execute, but has the potential to become a future member of our team and contribute to the mission, vision, and culture here in a very positive way.

The ideal candidate should be entrepreneurial, intelligent, competitive, and have an interest in the startup industry. This is an unpaid internship. However, there is the potential for paid positions at the completion of the internship. College credit is also available for the internship. Since it is unpaid, we will reimburse for travel and offer incentives based on milestones.

COMPANY INFORMATION:

MedWell Solutions is committed to redefining surgical care. We recently developed an "implant integrity" tracking software, which is designed to document the life-cycle of medical implants. To improve upon existing recall processes and better manage risk. The goal is to create a safer environment for surgical patients. In all our work, we seek to nurture the four core traits; Imagination, Vision, Collaboration, and Fearlessness.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Desire to take ownership of work
  • Healthy critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to run in the right direction given a lot of rope
  • Unending drive and a thirst for learning
  • Transparent and honest with excellent communication skills
  • History of high achievement, as demonstrated through academic performance and prior work or internship experience

PROGRAM DATES: SEPTEMBER 9, 2019 - DECEMBER 13, 2019
This is a part-time internship. Work hours, schedule, and start/end dates will vary per candidate to accommodate their class schedule. Holidays will be observed, and pre-planned travel may be approved upon discussion. This internship will require 15 to 20 hours a week; at least 7.5 hours per week in our Dallas office.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pursing a degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Public Relations or related field areas are strongly encouraged
  • Able to handle confidential information in a discreet and ethical manner
  • Enjoy working as part of a team as well as independently
  • Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
  • Conducting market, competitive landscape, and media research
  • Scanning and creating professional press clips
  • Assisting in developing written materials
  • Researching surrounding up-and-coming industry influencers (medical bloggers, policy lawmakers, physician opinions), and competitive analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

We plan to publish this research in the form of a white paper and in leading publications such as Forbes, TechCrunch, etc. In addition, we plan to present this research at industry conferences.
