Job Summary:
The Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® (NVAR) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director of Content Management. This role will be responsible for overseeing the content creation and editorial processes that support NVAR’s strategic communications efforts. The ideal candidate will have excellent editing and proofreading skills, with exceptional attention to detail; a passion for storytelling; and the ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Editorial Management: Oversee all editorial operations, including the planning, creation, editing, and publishing of content across multiple platforms (print, digital, social media).
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with the Director of Communications and other key stakeholders to develop and execute content strategies that align with NVAR’s mission and goals.
- Project Management: Lead editorial projects, ensuring that deadlines are met and that content is delivered on time.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all content adheres to NVAR’s editorial guidelines, maintains consistency in tone and voice, and is free of errors.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Membership, Education, and Operations, to ensure content supports organizational objectives.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze the performance of editorial content, using data to inform future strategies and improve engagement.
Skills:
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing tools.
- Strong understanding of SEO, social media, and digital content best practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to changing priorities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 + years of experience in editorial management, preferably in a nonprofit, trade association, or real estate environment.
