The CAS TPM IT Business Consultant will analyze complex business problems to be solved with CAS and similar automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Uses functional expertise in CAS TPM to design and configure. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
Key Role and Primary Responsibilities:
Provide business analysis and process (re)design expertise in one or more functional areas within the enterprise specifically in the analysis, and (re)design, of CAS functions and processes
Works closely with your peers/leadership and business to understand current processes to provide configuration expertise, commercial SAP, TPM and generate knowledge on BW
Provide guidance on best practice, work with the business on their processes to leverage standard functionalities to contribute to build a roadmap.
Understand how Trade functions at McCormick – specific rules and processes
Extensive understanding & configuration experience in CAS TPM
Identify and resolve integration issues between SAP, CAS, BW & non- SAP systems like High Radius etc by working with various groups within and outside of the company (i.e., system users, company management, consultants, software support staff).
Design & support experience with CAS TPM interfaces
Understanding of SAP ECC table structures, data elements/fields, & table interdependencies.
Develop functional specifications for system changes.
Support the governance model for enhancements to McCormick's IT solution portfolio - focused approach but ensures compliance to the business goals and objectives.
Review testing scripts to ensure accuracy of Integration and Regression testing efforts.
Keep up-to-date with best practice methodology, keep informed of new concepts / technology around the area.
Responsible for SAP system configuration, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance, and deployment. Provides post-implementation process and application support; acts as work stream leader from start to finish.
Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.
Troubleshoot complex business and technical problems
Development of standards and procedures
Acting as the effective liaison between IT functions and business partners by communicating requirements, business processes and issues.
Gather and translate business requirements into detailed functional design specifications that include current and future state of business processes on assigned projects. Support enhancement requests and resolve reported incidents within defined service level agreements.
Formulate and define application scope and objectives and devise/modify procedures to solve business problems
Coordinate end-user training documentation and train end users as required.
Creates detailed project plans and project estimates. Manages functional projects through the project lifecycle. May manage process area, from design through post-implementation
Provides ongoing responsibility for system failure prevention, system problem calls and user inquiries. This includes regular system maintenance and support which will require evening, weekend and on-call support
Leads constant improvement opportunities and appropriately challenges processes to ensure global consistency
Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other IT areas to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.
Has knowledge of peer companies and of the business strategy; translates long-term objectives into practical solutions; networks and benchmarks to gain insights into the potential use of new
Tools, processes and techniques
Lead small sub-projects or regularly coach other project personnel to ensure business application systems are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and best practices.
Prepare business specifications for reports
Cross train other associates where and when appropriate, should act as a technical coach to help junior resources.
Support CAS systems upgrades and life cycle management
Non-standard work hours may be required on occasion.
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management Information Systems with an emphasis in a specific functional area, such as finance, human resources, manufacturing, operations, logistics, or sales and marketing or equivalent work experience and technical training, is required.
6+ years of CAS TPM experience with an emphasis on design, configuration and troubleshooting required
Experience of CAS TPM (Trade Promotions Management)
Extensive understanding & configuration experience in CAS TPM.
Identify and resolve integration issues between SAP, CAS TPM, BW and non- SAP systems like High Radius by working with various groups within and outside of the company (i.e., system users, company management, consultants, software support staff).
Design & support experience with CAS TPM interfaces
Configuration and testing of SD, inclusive of Pricing & Rebates
Understand of all aspects of trade promotion management, including trade planning, trade settlements, off invoice, rebate accounting, pricing, shipments, consumption data, etc.
EDI and interface knowledge (iDOCS) preferred.
Able to work independently as well as a team player required.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in technical terms required.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills required.
Experience with at least 4-5 full life cycle CAS TPM implementations and 2-3 Rollouts.
