Shared Services Engineering (SSE) is looking for an Engineering Lead who has a passion to lead and grow Engineers by working on large scale projects that will drive engineering velocity for one of the largest Engineering Organization (3000+ Engineers) at Microsoft, Core Services Engineering (CSE). CSE builds and manages the critical products, processes and services that Microsoft runs on and own various type of applications and Services portfolio for Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance, CELA, Employee, SAP, Supply Chain areas built using MS, third party technology stack on Azure Cloud, on-prem and third-party hosting solutions. Shared Services Engineering (SSE) is part of CSE whose charter is to build a shared engineering infrastructure for all CSE Application/Services platforms.

The Shared Services Engineering Team is looking for a passionate Software Engineering Lead who can lead the team of talented Software Engineers and help us develop a first-class engineering pipeline and ready to take on challenging projects to advance their career. The Engineering Pipeline provides process automation for planning, version control, build, validation, engineering insights, building APIs, Telemetry, Release management, Exposure Controls, Experimentation, Testing in Production and Feedback Services for fellow Engineers in CSE. The position offers opportunities to work across groups and disciplines - with all the impact and recognition that comes with a role of that scope. Our team works with a wide variety of technologies, with a lot of C#, SQL and Azure but not limited to them alone. In this role, you’ll be responsible to contribute, guide, lead and grow the team who investigate how to solve engineering problems in Modern way, working on redefining the current systems, planning what the future of CSE Engineer velocity with quality looks and feels like, and delivering all the Services/tools to make that happen.
10+ years of experience in developing software
5+ years of people management experience
Experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, WebAPI, Databases (SQL or No-SQL) and Azure is mandatory
