The City of Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) licenses businesses and public vehicles, provides business and consumer education, enforces the Municipal Code, and protects consumers from fraud as well as overseeing the operations of City of Chicago TV.
The Production Intern would work with the Station Manager and the other members of the production staff to produce and edit videos for City of Chicago TV and the City of Chicago TV social media channels. The duties and responsibilities of the Production Intern include:
Basic working knowledge using Adobe Premiere Pro CC
Working with the Videographers to assist with productions
Editing videos using press conference footage and interviews to air on City of Chicago TV
Conducting interviews in the field with City of Chicago officials and members of the public
Assist in the production of programs recorded in the City Hall studio
Upload completed videos to City of Chicago TV social media accounts
Performs related duties as required.

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30p.m
THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION
Must be a student in good academic standing currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or law school OR a student in good academic standing currently enrolled in an accredited business or data processing/information technology school. Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale or a 3.5 on a 5.0 grading scale.
Students must maintain the required GPA throughout the duration of their employment/internship
Student must be enrolled in school with a minimum of 6 credit hours (or quarter hour equivalency) throughout the duration of internship, with the exception of academic breaks, i.e., summer.

This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected.
Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:
Junior or Senior
Minimum GPA 3.0 out of 4.0 scale
Minimum GPA 4.0 out of 5.0 scale
Enrolled or completed courses such as Writing for Broadcast, Communications, Public Relations
Minimum 20 hours per week
Maximum 35 hours per week
