EN Automation - The Team

Our Automation business unit performs the role of a traditional systems integrator for our clients. However, we differentiate ourselves from others by being part of a much larger, often turn-key engineering services offering by having the resources of the entire engineering firm working together as a wide-ranging and high performance cross-functional team.

We develop sophisticated industrial automation, plant control, database and data communication applications, using state-of-the-art software, across a wide range of industries. Our four major target markets are Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, Power, and Process Chemical.

Our project execution playbook is based on industry best practices derived from EN Engineering's CSIA (Control System Integrators Society) certification. EN Engineering is also proudly ISO 9001:2015 certified. These certifications form the backbone of our remarkably high quality standards as well as our drive for continuous process improvement.

Controls Engineer - The Role
The main function of our Controls Engineers is the development of PLC/PAC (Programmable Logic Controller/Programmable Automation Controller) based control and HMI/SCADA (Human Machine Interface/Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems) visualization applications.

Applications are developed in a multitude of proprietary programming languages distributed by our partner vendor companies including GE, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider, Wonderware, Invensys to name a few.

Engineers with additional experience in other programming languages such as Microsoft Visual Basic, C++/C#, and Microsoft SQL Server has proven to be very beneficial. In addition, skills in network design/administration and server virtualization will be utilized by most engineers in the EN Engineering Automation group.
