Responsibilities:Purpose and Summary of position:
Develop and implement improvement plan for the unit technology
Drive improvements to production capacity, efficiency, process safety and environmental performance in accordance with the business and unit technology plans
Collaborate with the Process Safety Program Manager or outside servicing companies to facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
Continuously engage in the production facility to identify and remove barriers inhibiting flawless production
Work with Capital Project Manager on project design and installations
Works with Manufacturing Experts on resolving technical issues
Gatekeeper for new technology, trials and implementation regarding product, raw material, process and equipment

Qualifications:Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
5+ years of industrial experience including design and process optimization
Demonstrate commitment to safety
Demonstrate organizational skills, an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, and the ability to work as Self Directed Individual
Ability to Work with Other Groups such as Maintenance, Reliability, Construction, and Operations
Knowledge of process design, instrumentation, process control, statistics, and process safety
Ability to effectively facilitate technical discussions

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Past experience in ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol technology
Knowledge of Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) techniques
Experience leading or participating in root causes analyses
Experience with engineering software such as PI process historian, PHAST, HTRI, ASPEN, etc.
Ability to effectively mentor junior engineers

Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering
