Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field, and eight (8) years progressively responsible, related experience required. Prefer three (3) years of cloud roadmap, implementation and/or operations experience, as well as three (3) years knowledge of PeopleSoft/Workday, Hyperion cloud systems and/or prior experience in converting an on-site solution to the cloud. Prefer a strong people leader with a proven track record of team engagement and low turnover.

Ability to map current system functionality to cloud system functionality and create a roadmap.
Execute roadmap to take UTSW to cloud applications prior to end of life of “on premise” applications.
Prior experience moving from “on premise” applications to the cloud and the data mapping/conversion process.
Change management expertise to assist in the transition to the cloud.
Coach organizational skills to team for optimizing work efforts.
Collaboration with all IR teams, working on strategic initiatives for UTSW.
Works under minimal supervision to serve as an organizational change management agent for the implementation of Business Affairs Cloud applications, budgetary planning application software and related operational processes.
Leads the roadmap for implementation and enhancement of cloud applications, and budget planning applications. May implement cloud and budgeting applications. Provides technical/functional expertise on cloud and budgeting applications.
Works closely with budgeting and IT professionals from academics, medical practice plan and university hospitals to develop applications and strategies for cloud and budgeting application needs.
Guides the development and implementation of effective communication strategies to ensure stakeholder involvement and participation. Assists with internal and external communications regarding the business systems implementation project and on-going support.
Leads working discovery sessions that include requirements gathering and desired workflow identification to understand and document business needs (i.e. budgeting, forecasting, consolidation and reporting) and their appropriateness to UT Southwestern operations.
Conducts gap analysis between system functionality and business requirements, and recommends solutions.
Guides the analysis of organizational impacts, and coordinates activities to align organizational roles, responsibilities, and skills and training requirements with the needs of the future environment.
Manages budgeting system team(s), potentially has a cloud team and works with cross-functional teams to ensure the cloud roadmap and budget application/reporting is consistent and timely with institutional needs.
Manages the development and consistent delivery of a standardized toolkit across programs.
Manages ERP leads, architects, and specialists, and is responsible for maximizing the team’s performance.
Manages internal user expectations and third party consultants through regular communications and updates.
Responsible for overall project management, including project timeline, quality management, resource planning, testing, training, and any other project documentation. Participates in determining project team training requirements and end user training strategy.
