Student performance travel is a great way to broaden horizons and offer high school and middle school students once in a lifetime opportunities, and that is what Director’s Choice does.

Director’s Choice, a Lubbock TX-based student group travel company, is seeking an inside salesperson to prospect, nurture, and close new and recurring business. Using a consultative sales approach, we partner with traveling music, dance, and performing arts educators across the country to handle all the logistics of a student traveling group from start to finish, including lodging, transportation, accommodations and performance opportunities.


  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business or equivalent work experience in the education or music field
  • 3+ years of successful business, sales, or education experience
  • Experienced with long sales cycles and complex products and services
  • Able to set own priorities and maintain a robust and effective calendar
  • Ability to make cold calls and qualify prospects
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, issues, and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to close
  • Proficient in Google Drive
  • Limited travel for conferences and other events


  • Generates revenue by initiating and maintaining meaningful customer relationships
  • Qualifies prospects to discover group travel needs, performance needs and destination needs to best meet educational and budget goals
  • Leads all aspects of the sales process including but not limited to: creating and developing proposals, conducting virtual presentations, closing sales through effective negotiation, and other activities
  • Maintains solid working knowledge of the complete range of product and service offerings and capabilities
  • Creates ongoing sales forecasts and provides accurate and timely opportunity information to management – primarily by maintaining accurate opportunity tracking and updates in the CRM (Hubspot)
  • Serve as the main point of contact for prospective clients and internal team
  • Maintain accurate sales logs/records and any other pertinent information in the CRM (Hubspot)
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure effective product and service delivery
