Position Summary:
A Law Enforcement officer main function is to observe and report. The LEO maintains a safe and secure environment for clients and employees. They detect suspicious activity, monitor the premises, and report all incidents in a timely fashion.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
The LEO is responsible to manage the security operations of our client’s properties during a particular shift which includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

Conduct the rollcall and ensure that all officers are present, in proper uniform and aware of their post orders and all current events which are related to this location

Ensure that security officers are knowledgeable on recent incidents and provide guidance on how established protocols should be followed

Inspect all officers while they are on post and sign their memo books during the tour

Respond to all incidents and conduct the preliminary investigation

Coordinate emergency resources when necessary and provide direction and informational updates

Prepare detailed Incident Reports

Direct personnel changes during the shift and adjust posts as necessary

Oversee the deployment of officers assigned to special events to ensure a safe environment.

Assist the Director of Security with developing, coordinating, managing and communicating the security plan and, through proactive leadership, engage the security staff to maximize the efficiency of the operation

Respond to all emergencies, fire alarms, criminal events, medical issues and news worthy incidents and provide direction to our staff while coordinating the responding emergency services response

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Must be able to report to work on time in all types of weather

Must be able to meet Face to Face Relief criteria by extending past shift off times while waiting for post relief, working over 8 hours in a shift (adhering to applicable Federal and state Overtime regulations if applicable)

Must be able to work outside for extended periods of time in all types of weather, including rain, snow, extreme cold and extreme heat

Some lifting required of up to 50 lbs.

Able to stand for up to 8 hours
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Retired law enforcement
-
Must be a New York Armed Licensed Security Guard

Must have a HR218 or an Unrestricted Carry License
-
State Photo Identification
-
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
-
Must be able to stand for eight consecutive hours

Must be able to work weekends
-
Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment screening requirements
