Description

The Assistant Controller’s primary responsibility is to perform their assigned monthly close duties including preparation of accounts payable processing, income audit, GL and bank account reconciliations, payroll, journal entries and financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Candidate should be able to function with minimal supervision and be able to adapt to changes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Performs monthly, quarterly and annual closing tasks.
Performs various general ledger account reconciliations.
Preparation of monthly journal entries.
Analyzes monthly transactions to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Company policies and procedures.
Assist with overseeing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and income audit
Daily application of cash receipts.
Support accounting team with external and internal auditors' requests, as well as other ad hoc reporting and analyses.
Other duties as may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting or concentration in Accounting from four year college or university; AND two to four (2-4) years related experience.
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required.
Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP is required.
Experience in fast paced environment in which they have shown they can conduct multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
