LZT is looking for an experienced and talented Aerodynamics Analyst to support activities within our Reusable Vehicle and Expendable Vehicle team to help lead to successful execution and launch of vehicles in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This individual is responsible for assessment of configuration aerodynamic characteristics subject to outer mold line modifications, upper stage diameters, engine nacelles, wing chord, span and air foil trades. Work will coordinate with inputs from mass properties, flight control, propulsion, performance and flight operations.
Support the requirements definition, architecture development and specifications definition for the reusable vehicle and the expendable vehicle.
Support the design, development, test and evaluation of the reusable vehicle and the expendable vehicle system.
Support the integration of all subsystems and components of the reusable vehicle and upper stage system.
Support the development of the operations, maintenance and logistics philosophies for the reusable vehicle system.
Participates as a member of the senior technical team in the establishment of development processes for the vehicles.
Collaborate with the appropriate departments to develop and maintain a development plan that supports organizational needs.
Assess and communicate risks associated with technologies used in the design and development of the vehicle(s).
Ensure equipment and software operation adheres to applicable standards.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the field of engineering with special emphasis on aerodynamics. Masters or PhD degree in one of these fields is preferred. Degree from a top 20 engineering school and a high GPA are desirable.
Minimum of 15 years experience in aerospace analysis. Experience in actual vehicle analysis, design, development and integration is essential.

Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to challenging problems.
In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to technology issues.
Proficient technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present and communicate effectively to a broad technical community.
Experience in the design and analysis of human rated space flight.
